ACCOUNTANT
REF: HR-FIN-1-04-2012
Reporting to the Senior Accountant – Uganda, you will have the following key responsibilities:
• Raise accurate tax invoices for all revenue types on ad-hoc basis, in accordance with the customer contracts and the organization tarrif guide, and distribute to the various customers.
• Coordinate submission of all the revenue reports from the various stations like Tororo, Jinja and Kampala, and post the same onto the accounts system, for facilitation of the monthly accounts reporting.
• Manage debt collection for all revenue generating activities by preparing monthly customer statements and aged debtors analysis by 3rd of the subsequent month.
• Collect all revenue receipts on a daily basis and accurately post into the accounting system by 3rd of the subsequent month.
• Contribute to the external financial year-end audit by preparing the required schedules and responding to the relevant audit queries.
• Prepare the VAT returns and submit to URA before IS” of the month following the VAT month.
• Keep safe custody of all revenue related documentation and correspondences.
• Monitoring all company receivables and ensuring the company’s credit policy is strictly observed.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by
authorized company staff.
Salary: - USD/month
