The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be an experienced executive with international experience being an added advantage. Goal, power generation, iron ore vanadium and titanium and the steel products, being driven by regulatory and technological changes. is poised for unprecedented growth in the local regional and international markets and accordingly. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will play an important role in assisting the Chief Executive Officer in developing positioning and promoting the objectives of Tanzania China International Mineral Resources Ltd and also the way in which the Company delivers. The scope of this role is broad and the projected scale of coverage and the organization’s ambitious targets will require an entrepreneurial spirit.
The Role
Working with the Board to formulate strategies and plans;
Help drive the Company towards a position where it becomes a respected player in the sectors in which it operates;
Put in place a business development infrastructure and build capacity from within the Company;
Provide business acumen energy and vision for the Company
Providing training to local personnel and spearheading transfer of technology
The Person
Excellent record of achievement, in a dynamic corporate setting
Ability to think and act strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic perspective
Notable successes in initiating and concluding projects
Experienced at nurturing R&D, business and political relationships and establishing long-term partnerships with various stakeholders
Competences in project management, marketing and financial analysis
Strong influencing style and executive presence; articulate and confidentwith ability to foster an atmosphere for maximum output from subordinates
Minimum qualification of post graduate degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, process, mining or geology) economics or business administration
A major in international business and ability to speak and write in Mandarin would be an added advantage.

The following key competencies and experience are required:
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swahili
Knowledge of Chinese Language (Mandarin) will be an added advantage.
Computer Literacy is necessary for this position
Must be a good team player
Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks within the applicable deadlines
High degree of integrity with minimum supervision
