Head of Humanitarian Assistance – based in Helsinki, Finland
Head of Humanitarian Assistance will plan, develop and manage FCA’s humanitarian activities both in the immediate emergency response and in the longer term humanitarian assistance. (S)he will report to the Director of International Cooperation and act as a member of Management Team of International Cooperation.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Daily managing of Humanitarian Action Team (HAT)
• Contribute to strategic and long term planning regarding humanitarian aid and develop the content for it
• Support HAT in developing humanitarian preparedness throughout the FCA
• Contribute to operative management in disaster operations
• Represent FCA in humanitarian action related networking and advocacy work
• Contribute to fundraising
• Undertake other duties as designated
Competence and Personal Requirements:
• Proven experience in humanitarian aid operations and project management, including financial management
• Proven ability to manage and motivate staff
• Good understanding of and commitment to humanitarian approaches and standards
• Demonstrated skills in preparedness programming
• Ability and willingness to travel, work and sometimes live in difficult circumstances
• Command of English as a working language, skills in French and/or Spanish is an asset
The salary is based on FCA collective agreement. Monthly salary at the beginning of contract will be 3591 - 3941 €.
