- Establishing in conjunction with project management, a clear definition of procurement and contract accountabilities and responsibilities across the Hub
- Developing a template for the formulation of the project material and contracts assignment schedule across the Hub
- Working with project managers (EPCM and Project) to identify synergies and value add opportunities by:
- Actively engaging and supporting Rio Tinto Strategy with respect to Market Development and Emerging Market Sourcing
- Demonstrating flexible approaches to sourcing locations
- Measure procurement progress and report against pre agreed project templates
- Keep track of emerging procurement issues, information, technology as well as regulatory trends and apply where appropriate
- As a procurement and contracts subject matter expert, contribute to developing and promoting a common global Procurement template for repeated success in new project implementation
- Influence decisions based on understanding of projects; procurement strategies and other commercial drivers
- Manage the on-going alignment of the procurement plan with the changing business needs within the dynamic projects environment
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related field

10 - 15 years experience in procurement / contracts or commercial role within large complex projects
