As a qualified security professional, the Mine Investigations Manager will oversee the implementation of the Mine Investigations Group (MIG) across all sites.
The position will include a requirement to work closely with other functional areas such as the Site and Regional Security Managers, Security Governance Group, Global Internal Audit and external investigators as may be appointed from time to time by the Office of the General Counsel.

Position Objective
- The jobholder for this position will be responsible to oversee implementation of all Mine Investigations Group (MIG) across all sites.
- The position will include a requirement to work closely with other functional areas such as the Site and Regional Security Managers, Security Governance Group, Global Internal Audit and External investigators as may be appointed from time to time by the office of the General Counsel.
- This job requires frequent travel to the mine sites.
Key Result Areas/Essential functions
- To implement and audit investigation standards and procedures across all sites.
- To drive an effective investigative culture across all sites. To assist in the management of serious crime investigations. Ensure investigations standards compliance.
- Ensure alignment of the Investigations Department.
- Provide high quality written assessments and reports relating to investigations and prosecutions, internal and external. Contribute to site and regional training and mentoring of subordinate investigators.
- Foster, develop and maintain high level relationships with key stakeholders, including government.
- Committed to abiding by and implementing the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
Professional and Interpersonal skills/attributes
Education Requirements:
- Advanced degree in a security related field.
- Experience Requirements:
- 15 years plus police (Detective)/security management experience
- Extensive senior serious crime investigation experience
- Formal training and experience in criminal investigation case management
- Previous experience working in developing countries Extensive knowledge and experience working in the mining industry
