The Security Analyst will provide technical leadership in the collection, collation and subsequent analysis of information relating to the security risks facing WV operations at a regional and global level. You will facilitate the analysis of emerging threats to World Vision operations and provide current information to WV management to enhance the safety & security of World Vision staff, assets & programmes and to minimise operational risks to World Vision.
With a proven track record in a fast paced, complex and ideally global organisation, you will have a desire, motivated o help others and model ethics in line with the foundations and ethos of the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Collaborate with each Regional Security Director (RSD) to ensure that the OCS security information practice appropriately supports the regional operational program priorities.
• Provide technical advice and support to the Director Operations and the RSDs on emerging security issues and their likely impact on WV’s strategies and programme operations.
• Review risk ratings with the Director Operations and RSDs and contribute to the identification of mitigation strategies that are compliant with WV’s Core Security Requirements (CSR).
• Monitor global security incident reporting and ensure the appropriate dissemination of information to all relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate assessment, development and implementation of global capacity building plan for security information management based on regional risk.
• Act as a strategic link for the collation, analysis and dissemination of security information connecting National Offices, Regional Offices, Support Offices and Global Centre.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Relevant undergraduate degree, or relevant work experience in the professional security analysis arena
• Sound knowledge of the security information management (collection, collation analysis & dissemination)
• Understanding of the security risk assessment process and risk analysis, security; planning and crisis management in the humanitarian context
• Understanding of setting threat or risk levels for specific contexts, considering the strategic and tactical situation
• Strong analytical (tactical & operational), organizational and problem solving skills
